As the celebrities did on tv, you too can have a sample visit to Jaipur in Rajasthan, staying at a beautiful haveli, sampling local life and what it would be like to live in the city with its comfortable climate, excellent health facilities and colourful & vibrant daily life.
We will also show you real daily living in Jaipur - take you to famous sites in the city, including the City Palace, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Amber Fort and the vibrant markets.
You will also visit some of the places where the movies were filmed.
And, to top it all, a visit to Agra and the world famous Taj Mahal.

Day 01 - Fly London Heathrow to Delhi on scheduled service.
Day 02 - Arrival Delhi where you will be met at the Arrivals lounge of the international airport. Transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure to relax & recover from your flight.
Day 03 - Drive to Jaipur and check in to the Haveli (250 Kms / 06 hrs). Remainder of day free at leisure.
Day 04 - Morning briefing from our local representative including information about Jaipur. In the afternoon, leisurely car ride around the city to get a feel for the place.
You will drive though the Tripolia Baazar, Janta Baazar and Baapu market where scenes of the two movies were filmed.
Day 05 - Early morning Yoga session and meditation. Breakfast at Hotel. Early afternoon visit to the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, drive past Hawa Mahal and local market with time free for shopping.
Day 06 – Early morning visit to Amer Fort and enjoy elephant ride up to the top of the hill. Meet a fortune teller or astrologer. Return to Haveli and remainder of day at leisure.
In the afternoon, take a rickshaw ride through busy streets of Jaipur.
Day 07 - Early morning Yoga session and meditation. Breakfast at Hotel. Remainder of morning free at leisure. After lunch visit to a local school and interact with the children. In the evening, visit Birla temple and experience the Aarti (fire prayer) ceremony.
Day 08 - Early morning Yoga session and meditation. Breakfast at Hotel. Remainder of the day is free at leisure. Early evening visit to local vegetable market and hone your haggling skills as you buy local produce. Your host will take you to his home where you will cook the produce you bought under expert supervision. Then enjoy your home-cooked meal with the family. Return to your haveli.
Day 09 - Early morning Yoga session and meditation. Breakfast at Hotel.
Late morning proceed to Samode (40 Kms / 01 way). Visit the magnificent Samode Palace and enjoy lunch there. Walk through the village. Return to Jaipur. Tea/coffee visit to Pearl Palace Guest House where ‘Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ film was shot.
Return to your Hotel.
Day 10 – Early morning Yoga session and meditation. Breakfast at Hotel.
Late in the afternoon drive to Kanota and visit Kanota Castle. Spread over 8 acres of land, Castle Kanota (which was the Viceroy Club in the movie) is truly a magnificent experience. Tea/coffee with snacks at Castle Kanota. Return to Jaipur and your haveli.
Day 11 - Leave Jaipur for Agra (235 Kms / 05 hrs) en route, make a visit to oldest and grandest step-well of Rajasthan at Abhaneri. In the late afternoon, visit Mehtab Bagh for a splendid view of the magnificent Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River.
Day 12 – Breakfast at Hotel. Visit to Taj Mahal, Agra Red Fort and continue drive to Delhi (205 Kms / 04 hrs). On arrival check in to hotel.
Day 13 - Visit the Old Quarters of Delhi - Chandni Chowk street market, Jama Masjid mosque and drive past the Red Fort. Visit the spice market, then Humayun’s tomb with a photo stop at India Gate, drive past Govt. buildings, visit Agrasen ki baoli stepwell, Gandhi Smriti and the Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple.
Day 14 - The end of your trip and we take you to the International Airport for your return flight to London.
Tour Cost, from GBP 1435 per person on Double/Twin room sharing basis for land arrangements only, not including international flights which are dependant on date of departure and will be invoiced separately.
