Delhi | Agra | Taj Mahal | Fatehpur Sikri | Jaipur
The “Golden Triangle” is the nickname for the most popular destination in India’s north. The name comes from the three cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, which, when connected by straight lines, become the Golden Triangle. In Indian terms, they are relatively close to one another – 125 to 155 miles (200 to 250km) apart.
This makes for a very manageable holiday where you can enjoy the Taj Mahal, wonderful bazaars and the heritage and architecture of Mughal and colonial times. If you have never visited India before, this is a great place to start.
- Experience the elegant colonial homes and places of New Delhi
- Marvel at Agra and the Taj Mahal
- Enjoy Jaipur’s wonderful bazaars
- See the Amber Fort
- Relax in interesting villages and enjoy an Indian meal with a family
Extend this tour to track tigers for two days in Ranthambhore, or, if you prefer, sample the 5 star luxury of a hotel in Udaipur and use this as your base to explore explore the lakes and palaces of “the Venice of the East”
